Privacy Policy

Last updated: {{ 'now' | date: "%B %d, %Y" }}

Welcome to Lil Bit Collections (“we,” “us,” “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you visit or make a purchase from our website and services (the “Services”).

We run our online store on Shopify. Shopify processes customer data on our behalf; you can learn how Shopify handles personal information in Shopify’s Privacy Policy.

1) Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Order & account details (name, email, phone, billing & shipping addresses), and limited payment details handled by our payment processors (we do not store full card numbers).
  • Customer support messages, reviews, and user-generated content (e.g., photos).
  • Marketing preferences (subscriptions, opt-ins/opt-outs).

Information we collect automatically

  • Device & usage data (IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, approximate location, timestamps).
  • Cookies & similar technologies used for site functionality, analytics, and (if enabled) advertising—see Cookies.

Information from other sources

  • Service providers (e.g., payment, shipping, fraud prevention).
  • Advertising & social partners for measurement or personalized ads, consistent with your choices.

2) How we use your information

  • Provide the Services (process orders, payments, shipping, returns, and account management).
  • Customer support and to communicate about orders, updates, and policies.
  • Personalize & improve the store, troubleshoot, and analyze performance.
  • Marketing (with your consent where required) including email/SMS and personalized ads.
  • Security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

3) How we share information

We share personal information with:

  • Shopify (ecommerce hosting, checkout, payments, analytics).
  • Payment processors (e.g., Shopify Payments) and fulfillment/shipping partners to deliver your order.
  • Service providers (IT, analytics, marketing, support) bound by contracts to use data only per our instructions.
  • Advertising partners (if enabled) for measurement and personalized ads—see Advertising.
  • Legal and safety reasons (e.g., to comply with law or protect rights).
  • Business transfers (merger, acquisition, or asset sale).

4) Cookies & similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to run our store, keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, and (if enabled) personalize ads. You can manage consent using our cookie banner and privacy settings in Shopify Admin (Customer privacy), which control tracking for analytics and marketing.

Tip for admins: Shopify’s Customer Privacy tools and banner live in Settings → Customer privacy.

5) Advertising & analytics

If we use advertising or social media partners, we may share limited information (like device identifiers, hashed emails, or events) to measure performance and show ads that are more relevant. Some U.S. laws treat this as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. You can opt out—see the next section.

6) Your choices: Do Not Sell/Share & Global Privacy Control (GPC)

  • Opt out of sale/sharing: If you’re in California or a state with similar rights, use our “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link to opt out of targeted advertising and certain data disclosures. We also honor user-enabled Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required.
  • Marketing: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the email, or contact us.
  • Cookies: Adjust preferences via our cookie banner or your browser settings.

7) U.S. state privacy rights

If you live in a U.S. state with a consumer privacy law (e.g., CA, CO, CT, UT, VA and others), you may have the right to:

  • Access and portability (get a copy of your data).
  • Delete personal information.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, sale/share, and certain profiling.
  • Appeal a decision if we deny your request (instructions provided in our response).

To exercise rights, email us or use the links in this policy. California also requires a clear and conspicuous “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link.

8) EEA/UK GDPR rights & legal bases

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process your personal data as a “controller.” You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. You can also withdraw consent at any time (it won’t affect prior processing).

Legal bases we rely on include: (a) contract (to provide the Services); (b) legitimate interests (e.g., improve the store, prevent fraud); (c) consent (marketing/cookies where required); and (d) legal obligations.

9) Retention, security & international transfers

  • Retention: We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law (e.g., tax, accounting, fraud prevention). You may request deletion—see your rights sections.
  • Security: We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information.
  • Transfers: Because Shopify and some providers are global, your data may be processed outside your home country. When we transfer data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., contractual commitments).

10) Children

Our Services aren’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can delete it. In California, we don’t sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 without required opt-in consent.

11) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. The “Last updated” date above will be revised, and in some cases we may provide additional notice.

12) Contact us

If you contact us, we may need to verify your identity and request details (like order info or account email) to process your request. You can also manage certain preferences through our cookie banner or privacy settings.

This Policy is for transparency and convenience and doesn’t constitute legal advice. Please consult counsel to tailor it to your exact operations.
